# Incubation

### **INCUBATE A LARVA**

🕰️ **Random incubation time: between 7 and 128 days.**\
When you incubate a larva, a **random countdown** between 7 and 128 days starts.

* The longer the incubation, the higher your chances of obtaining a genetic or ability boost.
* The shorter the incubation, the lower your chances of obtaining a genetic or ability boost.

Incubation cannot reduce your improvement odds. In the case of a 7-day incubation, you lose nothing except time.

### **DRAWBACKS OF INCUBATION**

⏳ **The process is irreversible**\
Once started, it cannot be shortened or interrupted.\
💰 **Transformation cost**\
**A cost in $CATKN** is required to transform the larva into a bee.

### **REWARDS**

The longer the incubation, the higher the chances of obtaining:

**🧬 Genetic Boost**

* **Twin Mint,** Two bees instead of one! (0% to 100%)
* **Excellence Degree Upgrade**:
  * +1 level (up to 100%)
  * +2 levels (up to 20%)
  * +3 levels (up to 0.2%)

#### **💎 Exceptional Abilities**

* **Maxed attributes**:
  * 1 attribute maxed (up to 85%)
  * 2 attributes maxed (up to 40%)
  * 3 attributes maxed (up to 4%)
  * **Perfect attributes** (up to 0.02%) the holy grail!
* **Emerald Pockets** (up to 25%) rare collectible bonuses.

> 🧠 *A detailed probability table based on incubation time will be published soon.*

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://the-life-bomb.gitbook.io/whitepaper/move-to-earn/larvae/incubation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
