A bee’s age plays a key role in the rewards you can earn!
It is therefore essential to master the aging and rejuvenation of your bee according to your strategy.
Aging
How to age a bee?
Main Bee
Using a bee as your main bee will cause it to gradually age.
A bee’s age increases by 0.3% for each energy spent.
The age of Nurse Bees increases much faster: 0.6% per energy spent.
Pollen
Using pollen can age a bee by 5% to 25%, depending on the amount of pollen used.
Check the Pollen section to learn more.
Genesis Bees
Genesis Bees have a unique bonus: You can adjust their age progression by ±0.2% per energy spent, thereby slowing down or speeding up their natural aging.
OG Bees also have a unique bonus: You can adjust their age progression by ±0.1% per energy spent, slowing down or speeding up their natural aging.
Nurse Bees: 0.5%, 0.6%, 0.7%
Other Roles: 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4%
Rejuvenation
Emerald Jelly
Using Emerald Jelly allows you to rejuvenate a bee by 5% to 25%, depending on the amount of Emerald Jelly used.
Check the Emerald Jelly section to learn more.
Bonuses/Penalties and Evolution — What is the Age Effect?
A bee’s age directly impacts its economic performance according to the following ranges:
0% – 54.99%: No impact
55% – 74.99%:+5% bonus on Efficiency and Final Specialization
75% – 99.99%:-7% penalty on Efficiency and Final Specialization
100%: Random role evolution and reset of age to 0%
Important:
When a bee evolves, its role is replaced by a different one from what it previously had.
If the endemic option is enabled, your bee can become endemic. Check the Endemic Bees section to learn more.
The higher the specialization attribute, the slower the growth of the age effect.
Bee Evolution
In nature, each worker bee changes roles throughout its life, depending on its age and experience.
The Life Bomb takes inspiration from this natural mechanic to bring your in-game bees to life.
How does a worker bee evolve?
Worker bees evolve when they reach 100% age.
They can remain workers or become endemic.
This evolution is random and does not follow the natural chronological evolution of bees.
At each evolution, the bee’s role is replaced by a different one, and its age is reset to 0%.
When a bee’s role changes, all its other attributes remain the same(level, mint, efficiency, instinct, specialization, endurance, etc.).
If you enable the endemic bee option, there is a 17% chance your worker bee will evolve into an endemic bee.
Check the Endemic Bees section to learn more.
IMPORTANT NOTE:When a bee’s age is above 10%, it cannot be sold or transferred.
